Obituary of Jerome Patrick Walsh, Sr.

Walsh Jerome Patrick, Sr., “Jerry”, age 92, of Minneapolis, on March 19, 2021.  “Himself” is survived by his wife, Ann Hanna Walsh; children and children-in-law, Jay and Kim Walsh, Minnow Walsh and Bob McDonald, Peggy Walsh and Neal Shore, Jim Walsh, Jean Heyer, Terry Walsh, Shannon Lynch, Molly and Jon Woll, Mary Beth Hanson, and Amber Lampron; grandchildren, Matt and Heather Walsh, Gil McDonald and Sara Garcia, Charlie Walsh, Annabelle Shore, Hanna McDonald, Henry and Stephanie Heyer-Walsh, Helen Heyer-Walsh, Gabriel Walsh-Shore, Ian Walsh, Pookie Walsh, and Sara Woll; great-grandsons, Roland and Edgar Walsh; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and John Osterbauer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his brother, Matt Walsh, Jr. of Edina, MN; sister, Rosemary Walsh Parrette of McLean, VA; and grandson, Scott Shore of Philadelphia. Jerry was a 1946 graduate of De La Salle high school, a veteran of the Korean War, sales manager for Flexsteel, and had a long career as an employment counselor. He loved books, Big Bands, great movies, Twins opening day, Vikings Sundays, and garage sale Fridays. Toodles, Dad. Private services were held at St. Leonard’s. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Foothold Twin Cities or the charity of your choice.
