Obituary of Sandra Ann Couture

Sandra “Sandi” Ann (Haupert) Couture, age 75, of Duluth, MN passed away unexpectedly on March 8^th, 2021 in her home at St. Ann’s Residence.  Sandra was born on August 6^th, 1945 in Duluth, MN and was a lifelong resident. Sandra graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1962.  Later in life, she went to college and received her AA degree in Liberal Arts from Duluth Community College.  Sandra enjoyed working with the elderly as a CNA and Home Heath Aide for many years at St. Ann’s and at Edgewood Vista before retiring and enjoying time with her family and friends. 

During the 1970s, Sandra was a Girl Scout Troop leader at Piedmont Elementary, and also taught Sunday school locally.  In addition to being an avid gardener, Sandra loved listening to music, caring for animals, cooking & baking for family and friends, drawing, water color painting, and writing poetry.  

Sandra is proceeded in death by her parents Gordon “Bud” and Marie Haupert, and brother Gordon “Gordy” Haupert.  Sandra is survived by her brother Steven (Pearl Fisher) Haupert, daughters Vicki (Mark) Heisterkamp, Kassi (John Current) Couture, Meleah (Derek McGraw) Couture, grandchildren Becky Poverud, Sam Poverud, Haylie Couture, Jaydin Couture, nieces Angie Anderson, Crystal Haupert and great grandson Asher Burke.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday March 20^th, 2021 at the Cremation Society in Duluth, MN.  Visitation starting at 2pm and service at 3pm.
