I'm so sorry to hear of our loss. George had a wonderful sense of humor and I remember having sleepovers at his house on Capitol dr. He was the only one to read more books than me in Mr. Svitter's 4th-grade class at Atwater. He was one of the funniest people I've known.

So sorry to hear this news. You contributed to lifelong memories for those of us that graduated (barely) with you at USM. I now walk the halls of USM with my kids who can’t walk past the main stairs without hearing what a mess a watermelon makes when dropped from the fifth floor- one of my favorites.

Deepest Sympathies to Anca and the Perkins Family.
Myself and family were devastated to hear this news. Many great memories of George in High School, College and his visits to Chicago. George was a fast skater and good teammate at USM Hockey. Loved his family, friends, a good laugh and adventure. Remember hiking the mountains and catching magnificent sunsets with George in Tucson during college. Massive taste in Music spoke to his intelligence and depth. George had a friendly and welcoming personality that wife Sarah saw immediately. We had a great time with him, David P and Sean D a few years ago in MKE at dinner & a Steely Dan show. George generously took the time to send along recordings of that show and Doctor John ,Stanley Clarke to our house in Chicago a couple of weeks later. George will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Friend. Charlie Koehn

This was March 2014. Minneapolis. I lived with George at U of M with John Czukas and then Phil Puerling in 1989. He was a great friend and I will miss him.

We want to offer are sincere condolences to the Perkins family and his partner Anca.
We shared many great experiences at concerts, riding bikes all over the Twin Cities and especially a few trips to New Orleans. Two such trips included in 2014 at the Radiators Family Reunion when we (along with friend Paul Flynn) decided to cram into a rickshaw for a ride aro9und the French Quarter (see picture) and in 2017 when we shared Jazzfest with Perks and Anca, including eating a seafood feast at Deannies.
Peace to all and please take care, looking forward to a celebration of his life later this year.

We are so sorry to hear about George’s passing. We met at work almost 20 years ago and bonded over a shared love of good beer and music. We attended countless concerts together over the years and he introduced me to the taper community. His sense of humor, positive outlook despite some challenging times, and kindness drew people to him. Such a great guy. Our condolences to the entire Perkins family, Anca and all who knew him. We will miss him terribly, Rest In Peace. Mike & Cheryl Doyle

My condolences to the entire Perkins family. I have very fond memories of George during grammar school. Lots of laughs at the Mary D Stone school with George.
The news of George’s passing made its way back to Massachusetts. Some of his classmates have been reminiscing about our time with George. The young pictures that were posted here are exactly how I will remember him!
Again my thoughts and prayers are with the Perkins family.
