Obituary of Scott Robert Herricks

Scott R. Herrick, 35, passed away on Wednesday Dec. 30 at Essentia Health, surrounded by his loving family, due to complications from pneumonia.

He was born September 29, 1985 in Duluth to Robert and Helen Herrick. He attended Denfeld High School and enjoyed hockey, motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.

Scott had a heart of gold and cared deeply for his friends and family. Even if he was struggling personally, he would selflessly extend his hand to help lift up a friend, without judgement. His quick wit, smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert; his grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles and friends. 

He is survived by his mother, Helen; sister, Allison; uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and his loyal dog and companion, Henry.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Essentia Health for their professional and compassionate care.

Soar on eagle’s wings into peace and light, for you are truly “Scott Free” now. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in May 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Life House, 102 W. St. Duluth, MN 55802
