Obituary of Rochelle Rae Sorensen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rochelle Rae Sorensen on Feb 18, 2020. She was born on November 24, 1970 in Madelia, MN. She graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1989. She married David Sorensen on Oct 2, 1993 and resided in Burnsville, MN. Rochelle loved fishing, camping, traveling and being outdoors. She cherished being with her family and her passion was caring for her 3 grandsons. She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Krysta (Derek); son, Lucas (Hannah); her parents, Robert and Audre Johnson; sister, Nikki (Brad) Schmitz; grandchildren: Oliver, Liam and Joshua; father in-law, Darrell (Lynde) Sorensen; mother in-law, Lynne Sorensen- Faust; sister in-law, Kris Sorensen; brother in-law, Scott (Vickie) Sorensen; sister in-law, Jill (Chad) Langhorst; nieces and nephews: Matt, Emily, Benjamin, Jackson, Derek, Alex, Jake, Kaylie, Ally, Evan and her dearest friend, Polly (Todd) Kramer. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Johnson; father-in-law, Ken Faust; grandparents, Warren and Mae Nelson and Algot and Olga Johnson. Rochelle will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, her love for family, her devotion to her children and grandchildren, and endearing warmth, contagious smile, and her giant hugs. We will miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, MN 55119. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
