Obituary of Susan Lee Nettleton

Susan Lee "Susy" Nettleton, age 56, of Hopkins, passed away peacefully with family at her side on 11/24/18. Preceded in death by parents, Gene and Jeanne Bierhaus. Survived by her husband, Kurt; daughter, Molly McAdam; sister, Kristy Bierhaus; and her beloved dog, Keely. Born and raised in Colorado, Susy chose to move to Minnesota in the 1980's, following her family's roots in Brainerd. Her gregarious personality and mannerisms made her the focus of any room she entered. Her father once told her that she was a real "kick", Susy was a kick with a capital 'K'. While projecting a tough exterior in reality Susy's heart was as soft as they come. Beginning with her horses in Colorado, Susy was a life long animal and nature lover. Her love of the arts and all things musical inspired many to stretch their horizons as to what entertainment is. A simple memorial service to be held Saturday Dec. 1st at 2:00 PM at Church of the Cross, 201 9th Ave N, Hopkins, MN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Susy's name to either your local arts organization or animal rescue are preferred.
