Obituary of Callie Jean Daniel

Daniel, Callie Jean Age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20th after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Callie is survived by her sister, Nettie Williams of Detroit; children, Denise Schuenke (Scott), Keith Daniel (Valerie); 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Callie is preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Theola Williams and her brothers, Cleo and Fulton Williams of Detroit. Callie grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, moved to Detroit where she married Booker T. Daniel. Early in her career, Callie worked as a teacher's aid at Horace Mann Elementary School in Minneapolis. After leaving the school system she began her career with Wells Fargo until her retirement. Callie lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, traveling and took tremendous pride gardening, winning the Minneapolis Bloom Award in 2006 and 2007 for making Minneapolis more beautiful with her garden. There will be a private family service. Memorials to Minnesota Alzheimer's Foundation.
