Obituary of Lucille Mae Larson

Larson, Lucille Mae (Bong) Age 90, of Golden Valley, was born April 28, 1924 in Cherokee, IA and passed away peacefully on November 22, 2014. She is preceded in death by parents George and Ida Josephine (Klein) Bong; sister, Bernice. She is survived by her husband, Dale O. Larson; daughters, Karin L. Larson, Holly J. Larson, and Lisa A. Larson; sister, Louise Elliott; and many other family and friends. Lucille is a graduate of Cherokee, IA High School and Iowa State Teachers College where she majored in Primary Education. She taught in Davenport, IA, Freeport, Long Island, NY, military schools in Germany and Japan, and substituted in Minneapolis schools. She volunteered in Robbinsdale schools and was active as a Girl Scout leader for many years. She traveled widely in Europe and Asia while living overseas. In accordance with her wishes, no funeral will be held. A celebration of Lucille's life will take place in the spring.
