Obituary of Blaine William Dolter

Blaine William Dolter, 54, of Holyoke, passed away on Nov 23, 2014 at his Residence. Blaine was born in Crystal, Minn. on July 22, 1960, to William and Jeanne (Lindstrom) Dolter. He graduated from Morgan Park High School and went on to attend Duluth Technical College where he studied commercial and residential wiring. Blaine obtained his Journeyman's license and spent his working career with Lakehead Electric which became API Electric and is now known as Hunt Electric Corporation. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. Blaine was a kind and generous man. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local 242. He took work safety seriously and enjoyed mentoring the new apprentices as they came along. He is preceded in death by his mother and maternal and paternal grandparents. Blaine is survived by his wife Shirley of 26 years; son Jack Dolter; step-children, Casey (Candance) Quincey Roisum and Leala Roisum; grandchildren Haylea, Parker, Jimmy and Boston; father Bill; brother David (Leanna) Lindquist M.D. ;niece Wendy; nephew Michael; as well as many extended family members and friends. A special thank you to Blaine's co-workers who were his friends and second family. Gathering of Family and Friends: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 in Cremations Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. In lieu of flowers memorials many directed to the St. Luke's Cancer Center.
