Obituary of Mary S. Krubsack
Age 73, of Prescott, Wisconsin Mary passed away peacefully on November 28, 2014 surrounded by her family. Mary was born in New Berlin, WI and grew up in the town of Coloma, WI. She was the second born of six children. Mary graduated from Westfield High School in 1959 and with honors from UW-Stevens Point in 1963. After graduation, she taught English at Minnetonka East Junior High School. She then took seven years away from teaching to stay home with their two children. In 1978, they moved to Prescott, WI where Mary spent 20 years teaching English at Prescott High School and retired in 1998. In 2002, Mary was diagnosed with fronto-temporal dementia and spent the last 8 ½ years living in a memory care unit. Mary was preceded in death by brother, Scott Patrick Runnels; father, Scott Alexander Runnels; and mother, Rita Ione Runnels. Survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William Krubsack of Prescott, WI, children James and Caroline; grandson Kyle Hildebrandt; three sisters, Cathy, Jean (Gohlke), and Ann; brother Jim; and numerous extended family. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Unity Church-Unitarian at 733 Portland Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Mary's name to the Alzheimer's Association , Greater Wisconsin Chapter, 2900 Curry Lane, Suite A, Green Bay, WI 54311.
