Obituary of Ronald A. Rochat

Rochat, Ronald A. Age 94, of Hopkins, passed away December 15, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, one sister, and one brother. Served in the Navy as the bugle master on the USS Admiral W.S. Benson troop carrier during WWII. Taught band for 3 years in Shakopee and 29 years in St. Louis Park. Played trumpet for 40 years with the Jerry Mayeron Band and was an original member of the Vikings band. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by wife, Margaret; daughters Jena and Marilyn (John Vertin); sons Tom (Julie) and Jim (Julie); 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Celebration of Ron's life will be held on Sunday, December 21 at 1 PM at St. Gabriel Church, 1310 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to STEP (St. Louis Park Emergency Program).
