Obituary of Shirley Ruth Johnson

Johnson, Shirley Ruth Age 73, of Plymouth, passed away Dec. 15, 2014. Born June 4, 1941 in Sioux Center, IA. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Wilmina VandeBerg; brother, Duane Vande-Berg. Survived by loving husband of 48 years, Floyd; children, Eric (Trista) Johnson and Michelle (Mark) Morrell; grandchildren, Madison and Makenna Morrell and Maya Johnson; brothers, Paul (Deona) VandeBerg and Warren (Mary) VandeBerg; sisters-in-law, Margie VandeBerg, Jeanne Johnson and Astha Bauman; many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. She was loving, caring, selfless and her spirit will live on among family and friends forever. Her true joy in life was spending time with family, including her 3 granddaughters whose lives she touched in so many ways. Memorial service 11 AM Fri., Dec. 19 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 3901 36th Ave. S., Mpls., MN 55406. Visitation 10 AM. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to JDRF.
