Obituary of Vern Jay Fairbrother

11/15/28 - 12/19/14 Age 86, of Bloomington, passed away on December 19, 2014. Born and raised in St. Paul, served in Korea in 1946 (Army) and married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Brown, in 1951. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Vern was a career salesman and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a thankful member of the Southside Men's Group for 26 years, and found close friendships at the Martin Luther Care Center Alzheimer's support group. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, 5 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 sister and many friends. No funeral services, but a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, 7160 S. Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights on Saturday, Jan. 3 from 12-3 PM. Memorials can be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Sharing and Caring Hands in Mpls.
