The cost for our most basic Direct Cremation is $1,595 for members and $1,645 for non-members. This includes transporting the deceased from their location back to ours, filing the death certificate, obtaining cremation approval from family and medical professionals and performing the cremation. The Federal Trade Commission requires the services and prices we charge to be displayed in the manner below. If there are ever questions about them, please call or email our staff for a full understanding. The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. (However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for service.) If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reasons in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. The list does not include prices for certain items that you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery fees, flowers, newspaper notices, etc. The prices for those items will be shown on your bill or statement describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Professional Service Charges:
Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff: $2,180.00 – Our professional service charge includes but is not limited to consultation with family and clergy, preparation and filing of necessary notices, authorizations and consents, attendance prior to, during and following the funeral and coordinating with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g. cemetery, crematory and others. (This fee for basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements. This fee is already included in our charge for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving human remains.)
Embalming: $650.00 – Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for embalming, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
Other Preparation of the Body: $250.00 – This consists of any cosmetics applied, hairdressing, grooming, dressing the deceased and placing the deceased into the casket.
Use of Facilities for Funeral/ Church or Chapel Set Up/ Graveside Service: $595.00 – This consists of our staff working the funeral at another location like a church and for our equipment. This is the same fee charged for the rental of our chapel or reception room.
Transfer of the Deceased to Funeral Home: $400.00 – Initial removal from the location of the deceased or facility to our location. *If additional staff is needed add $150.00 per person. **Additional mileage fee may apply if outside our included area.
Hearse: $400.00 – Delivery of deceased to cemetery or place of final disposition in our funeral hearse.
Additional Mileage Fee: $2.00 per loaded mile – This fee will be added if the location of the deceased is outside the twin city 7 county area when using our metro locations. Calculated in miles, from the location of the deceased to our Minneapolis location. Or, when using our Duluth location, when the deceased is 25 miles or more away. Calculated from their location to the Duluth Chapel. Example: The deceased is at their home in Brainerd, MN – Brainerd is approximately 130 miles away from our Minneapolis location, therefore the additional transportation fee would be $260.00.

Cremation Rental Casket: $995.00 – $1,495.00 – If you choose a funeral service where a rental casket is provided, the casket used for the funeral service may have been used in a previous funeral service. The casket is cleaned and the interior lining is replaced with a new lining. The cremation will take place in the lining container with outside shell cleaned and reused.
Alternative Cremation Container: $95.00 – $520.00 – A complete list will be provided at the funeral home.
Urn Price Range: $12.00 – $1,695.00 – A complete list will be provided at the funeral home, however most of our selections can be found on the urn page.
Urn Vault Price Range: $195.00 – $970.00 – A complete list will be provided at the funeral home.
Total Service Charge for Forwarding Human Remains to Another Funeral Home: $1,595.00 – This charge includes the removal of remains from their location, minimum service of staff, obtaining necessary authorizations, embalming, local transportation and shipping container. Excludes shipping charges. *Additional $1,500.00 fee is added to any international shipping. *The use of our chapel or an outside location is available at an additional expense including professional services.
Total Service Charge for Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home: $1,595.00 – This charge includes the minimum services of staff, transportation from airport, transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory. *The use of our chapel or an outside location is available at an additional expense including professional services.
Total Service Charge for Immediate Burial: $1,595.00 – Consists of a simple graveside service with one unlicensed attendant present at graveside, removal of deceased from their location, preparation and filing of all necessary notices, authorizations and consents. Placing the deceased into casket, transportation to cemetery. *Does not include a casket, vault, embalming, viewing or cemetery expenses.
Immediate Burial with Casket or Alternative Container Provided by Consumer: $1,595.00
Immediate Burial with Minimum Cloth Covered Casket Provided by Funeral Home: $2,090.00
Immediate Burial with Casket Purchased from Funeral Home (in addition to cost of casket selected): $1,595.00
Total Service Charge for Direct Cremation: $1,595.00 (Members) – $1,645.00 (Non-members) – Includes removal of deceased from their location, preparation and filing of all necessary authorizations and consents and direct cremation. Includes a cremation fee of $400.00. *Does not include Medical Examiner or Coroner’s fee which varies by county.

ADDITIONAL GOODS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE
Chapel or Reception Room Rental: $595.00 – Includes an attendant at the service or event. Chapels seat 125 people. Reception Room comes with paper plates, cups, napkins, disposable forks and spoons, coffee and clean up.
Chapel AND Reception Room Rental: $890.00 – When rented together and used concurrently.
Staff Coordinator at Memorial Service at another facility, church or graveside: $225.00 – Staff Coordinator is a non-funeral director. Add $150.00 to the coordinator services if you’d like for a funeral director.
Staff Coordinator at Memorial Service AND graveside: $275.00
Delivery and Staff Coordinator at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery: $125.00
Register Books: $25.00 – $125.00
Memorial Folders: $55.00 for 50, $20.00 for each additional 50 folders. 2nd side or custom verse printing is an additional $20.00.
Photo Memorial Folders: $1.00 per folder (minimum 75 folders)
Prayer Cards: $40.00 for 50 cards, $25.00 for each additional 50 cards.
Thank You Cards: $15.00 per box of 25 thank you’s with envelopes
Delivery of cremated remains or service material: $50.00 (inside normal transportation area)
Private Family Viewing: $150.00 – *Limited to immediate family – 12 people max per viewing due to room size and other families using our facilities.
Witnessing of Cremation: $250.00 – *Limited to immediate family
Mailing or Shipping Cremated Remains: $95.00
International Shipping of Cremated Remains: $95.00 + Shipping Charges
Storage of Cremated Remains: $15.00 per month after 60 days
Additional Transportation of deceased: $400.00 each way – This charge applies when our staff transports the deceased to a medical facility for a private autopsy.
Use of our facilities for procedures performed by an outside staff: $500.00 – This charge would be applied should a medical professional need to use our facilities for any invasive procedure. Example: Dental Extraction
Sheltering of Human Remains after 6 days: $50.00 per day
Common 3rd Party Charges
Medical Examiner or Coroner Fee for Cremation Authorization: Varies – could be $250.00 (Dane County, WI)
Certified Copies of MN Death Certificate: $13.00 for the first copy + $6.00 per copy after
Certified Copies of WI Death Certificate: $20.00 for the first copy + $3.00 per copy after
Motorcycle Escort: $210.00 per driver + tax
Clergy Honorarium: $250.00 suggested
Musician Honorarium: $200.00 suggested
