Throughout the years she frequently welcomed visitors from around the world for meals and conversation or a game of Carrom. Betty also loved art. Paint and silkscreen were her most used materials applied to objects from canvas to rocking chairs. Since her college years, Betty had been an activist engaged in environmental, social justice and educational causes. She lived in Duluth for almost 60 years, and loved being with people as she engaged in activities through her church and the greater community. Betty's presence will be missed, yet she left a legacy of relatives and friends that have benefited from having known her. Funeral to be held at First Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 12th at 11am with service starting at noon, followed by a lunch reception.
